Charlotte, NC - October 1, 2008. wheelchair rugby player

XBS demonstrates an ongoing commitment to support grassroots community sports programs for athletes with physical disabilities by becoming a sponsor of the First Annual Carolina Crash Collision Wheelchair Rugby Tournament.

Wheelchair rugby is a collision sport and competitors must have some form of quadriplegia (such as a spinal cord injury) to play.  The game is a paralympic sport.  The US National Team is the current gold medal team, defeating Australia at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.

The tournament will be held the first weekend in November at Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw.  In addition to the Crash, competing teams will come from DC, Raleigh and East Virginia.

The teams website www.CarolinaCrash.org (sponsored by XBS) provides game and tournament details.
