David Robb is the President and founder of XBS Global.
Robb has more than 30 years experience consulting with business owners regarding their merchant services, electronic payments, financial resources and office automation technology.
He started his career in the payments industry as sales manager for a successful agency in Warwick, RI. He was then recruited by a large international ISO headquartered in California to be a Regional Sales Manager for 7 states in the mid-west and relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1998. Within two years Robb became the top performing Regional Manager in the country and accepted the additional responsibility of National Sales Trainer.
Dave took the naturally progressive step in 2000 to form his own company focused on merchant services. Robb and his partner built a successful portfolio over the next 7 years before he sold his share of the business and moved his family south to Charlotte, NC.
At that time Robb incorporated XBS -Expert Business Services - an ISO that would employ a distinct business model where he could combine his education and career experiences to bring integrated payment processing solutions to a national business market with a focus on the B2B merchant. He uses his industry knowledge, relationships and sales training to benefit merchants and agents alike. In an increasingly complicated credit card processing industry and difficult financial lending climate, Robb, his wife Sharon, and their agents work to increase cash flow and overall profitability, streamline payments and operating efficiency, and provide access to working capital for their clients.
Dave has three children with his wife Sharon and they are passionate about giving their time, energy and services to increase opportunities for adaptive sports for individuals of all ages with physical disabilities. He was a volunteer coach for junior sled hockey athletes at Ohio Sled Hockey for many years, a program he and his wife helped launch and where Sharon served as Executive Director. Sharon also recently served from 2008 through 2011 on the board of directors for the Carolina Crash - Charlotte's quad rugby team. They continue to raise funds and awareness for children and young athletes, with physical disabilities. This years Give Back program is a per merchant donation to the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital for Children - a state of the art facility dedicated to the care of children with spinal cord injury.
Raised primarily in Minnesota - Robb is a 1983 graduate of Minnesota State University in business management and economics. He lettered 4 years in basketball and 2 years in football, earning an NFL tryout in 1983 with the Green Bay Packers.
